sounds nasty at first two reads.
but somehow i managed to like it.
the narrator withdraws into old safety of seeing at the end of the poem, maybe having realized his initial wishes to be futile. in this regard this poem would be a nice comment on the artificiality and the critical aspects of a supposed 'authenticity' of writers. good one here.
